Week 2 Network + Blog

This weeks studies has introduced me to so many things from tools necessary to work with network setup and tear down. All the cables discussed will undoubtedly confuse even a seasoned technician, it has too. From twisted pair being shielded or unshielded to coaxial cables and the ohm rating of each type used and fiber optic cables which seem by their very nature to be fast and vulnerable all at the same time.  I am very glad to have studied some cables with some connections that I am familiar with from setting up or moving my own personal desktop around the house. After researching the sheer magnitude of standards setting bodies in the industry, it definitely astounds me how many aspects of the networking field seems to even get off the ground. Seems like we need to focus more on organizing these governing bodies to best suit the needs of a growing demand to innovate how we build networks.
